Veronica Sightings

I work with some of the best #visibility coaches in the industry today!

What exciting things have I been up to?

Visibility with heart!

Visibility, both online and in person have been big for my business in the last few years.

I embraced the fact that I am the face of my business and my brand, and I had to get the courage I needed to get visible, stand out and become an influencer in the industry.

I realized after many years of struggling, that Katy Texas was not exactly the design mecca of the world, and I had to take my business online, as well as build a local following.

A big part of running a successful and profitable business is having confidence, and the courage to be who you are. Running your business with heart, where you care about the needs of your community and give back; being a resource to peers and colleagues; being completely professional and transparent with your clients, vendors and contractors

Showhouses

THE 2017 ASID DESIGNER SHOWHOUSE AT WILLOWCREEK RANCH IN TOMBALL TX

Doing designer showhouses is a great way to market your design business and be visible, as well as giving to a worthy cause. You are allowing your work to be experienced by visitors to the showhouse, and that will always appeal to their emotions and senses more than any other method of marketing.

It is the perfect opportunity to talk about your design concept and what influences your work, and really build rapport with the patrons

Like any marketing, it does require an investment, but if you do it right, you will see the return on your investment

TELESUMMITS, PODCASTS, PANELS, LIVE EVENTS

I have had the great pleasure of being invited to be interviewed on major podcasts such as "A Well Designed Business" with LuAnn Nigara; "The Business of Design" with Kimberley Seldon, "Design + Style" with Rachel Moriarty and Dixie Willard, and more.

I have also participated in telesummits  and most recently panel discussions with The Design Network and Kimberley Seldons' - Design Is My Business at High Point Market

The Solomon Project + Giving Back

Student outreach + scholarships

"If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day; if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime"

My student outreach is that simple - providing design students with the tools they need to run profitable businesses when they branch out on their own one day. I pick up where design schools left off, and teach them real-life business skills

We believe in giving back to the community we work in, and helping international causes we care about. I founded The Solomon Project as a way to lend a helping hand to pregnant young moms, who need assistance with some of the basic needs for their new baby.

We collect donations from the community, and use the funds and items to decorate a nursery for mom and baby

Thanks to The Pregnancy Help Center Katy, who have assisted us with identifying young women to offer some support to

Networking + Social Media

My motto is to use social media for good, and not evil.

I hear it all the time - people whine about how social media is a major time suck for their businesses, or they don't get much out of their time spent. What most don't realize is that it is all about engagement, and showing your "human" side. I believe that finding the right platform that you enjoy using, will be more rewarding than forcing yourself to use several platforms.

Facebook and Instagram has been great for my business! Follow along to see what I am up to
